We knew of each other when we were younger, but we properly met at a nightclub in Arbroath, Scotland in 2013, We had our first date at a safari park and clicked instantly.
Our families live in Arbroath. In Scotland, however, we wanted an adventure so in 2016 we traveled around Europe and Thailand. During that time Ryan proposed to Kirsten in Paris. We then ended up in Perth, Australia. We have lived there for 3 years now.
We decided on Paphos as a wedding destination so that we could all have a relaxed holiday too!

The wedding day
Our photography and videography team first caught up with Kirsten and her fabulous Bride Squad at the luxurious Amavi Hotel in Pafos. The bubbly was flowing while the ladies were getting their hair and makeup done.
We then relocated to a lovely country wedding venue, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea called the Liopetro Venue in Kouklia, just outside Pafos.
The wedding theme was traditional Highland tartans for the men, and the Bridesmaids wore stunning burgundy dresses. The Bride wore a beautiful flowing dress, with a loose eucalyptus and soft white rose bouquet, that just complimented everything perfectly. The venue was dressed simply and elegantly in a light country theme, with white horizontal sashes over light-colored chairs and décor.
To the sounds of a traditional Scottish piper, the ladies gowned up in their dresses, in a rustic dressing room at the venue. Meanwhile, Ryan and the Groomsmen, who wore traditional Scottish Highland Attire, mingled with the guests, whilst enjoying a few cold beers as they assembled ready for the wedding.
I’m not sure who was more nervous, the Groomsman having a wee dram or Ryan, but as Kirsten arrived, on her father’s arm, in her flowing dress, everyone gasped, and Ryan looked like the happiest man alive.
Ryan and Kirsten married with the Cypriot sun in their hair and to the sounds of Yasmin, a family friend playing her guitar and singing so beautifully.
After the ceremony, the couple was piped out and showered in confetti.
The newly married couple then enjoyed a few drinks and chatted with the guests. We then had a really quick photo shoot with Kirsten, Ryan, and the Piper, at the 12th century Panagia Odigitria Church just by the Sanctuary of Aphrodite, which is just over the way from the Liopetro venue, after which, the couple returned for the family group photos, where we were photobombed by the local cat!
After some mingling, the wedding speeches began. The Father of the Bride was full of Scottish whit. Meanwhile in the Best Man’s speech, Ryan, the Groom did look a little nervous for a second, but all was well.
The sunset was during the speeches, however, this did not stop us from capturing some fabulous night time shots outside of the venue.

Let’s say the celebration was full of energy, and what they say about Scotsman and what’s not worn under their kilts is true.
